Searching for the WWW

What happens when you search for "www" using different search engines?

Google sends you to Yahoo. [link] So does A9. [link]

MSN sends you to Slashdot, [link]

Yahoo sends you to the W3 Consortium [WWW Consortium] but when I tried it earlier four hours ago it sent me to hotmail.
